I am sneaking in here again to award a Perfect Post award (for the month of July) to"D" of STRADDLING THE LINE for THESE (1) TWO (2) posts about her daughter Chick, because they just touched me so deeply. (You must read both posts together, in the order I linked them. They are two parts of a story.) "D"'s thoughtful, genuine and sometimes painful posts always touch me. "D" writes from the heart and gut and puts it all out there in a very real, but beautiful way. She doesn't write to gain favor with an audience, she just writes what is real to her. You might want to check out her most recent posts, too. Her family has taken in two foster babies for emergency care. Her post had me scouring foster care and adoption sites. It made me want to be a better person than I am.
To learn more about the Perfect Post Awards and to find more award winning posts, visiti MommaK and Lucinda. Thanks!
There were many posts that deeply touched me this month. It's been a dry month here, and to make up for it, I'm sending you to a few of my favorites. I might not get them all on here tonight. It's late, and Mr. Raehan has been away for four nights on a work trip. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. Especially since I'm staring at my FIRST EVER Traffic Violation notice/ticket. I think I'll go do some deep breathing and a few backbends. Actually, I need more than that. Please say something that makes the pit in my stomach go away. I'm feeling a little sad. I'm tired.
And go read these after you've read "D":
Psycho Kitty
Betty Bookish
Christine
James Andrew Lockhart
SRP
There are many more of you. I think I'm going to do this every time I post now. You all touch me so.
I'll be back next Monday.
